This part contains ALU, Registers and instruction.
**ALU**
ALU stands for Arithmetic Logic Unit. It is the data processing unit of the microprocessor.
The functions of ALU are as follows:
i) Arithmetic operation (addition, subtraction, multifunction and division) ii) Logical operation (OR, AND, NOT etc.)
iii) Decision making.
**Register**
Information inside the microprocessor is stored in Registers.
The 8086 microprocessor has 4 category.
They are- Data register, Segment register, Pointer/index Register & Status register(flags&flag)

01.The processor first fetchs(bring) an instruction from the main memory.

02.The instruction is then decoded to determine what action is required to be done.

03.Data from main main memory or I/O module.

04.The instruction is then executed.

05.In addition to execution,CPU also supervise and control I/O devices.If there is any request from I/O devices,is called interrupt.
